Why take private yoga classes?
Private yoga classes conveniently adhere to your schedule. Many people are too busy to get in the car, brave traffic, find parking, and practice yoga for an hour and a half at a gym or studio, only to get back in the car and back into traffic. Three hours have gone by and you're anything but relaxed.
Private = private
There are no crowds, no distractions, and no comparing yourself to or competing with the rest of the class as commonly occurs in studio classes.
You're new to yoga
Students benefit immensely from receiving an instructor's complete focus and attention, receiving hands on adjustments to ensure that you develop a safe and beneficial yoga practice. You will understand the fundamentals of yoga poses and breathing techniques rather than getting lost in the speed of a group class.
You have questions
If you aren't sure what you're supposed to be doing or feeling in a pose, you can stop to ask the instructor a question without holding up a whole class. You will also come to understand the mechanics of the pose, rather than just trying to keep up with the group.

Practice at your own pace
Some days, you are full of energy, and some days you're not. Private classes are always customized to fit your mood and energy level, allowing for a rigorous workout on the upbeat days, or a restorative session on the hard ones.
Decrease risk of injury
With private yoga, you are never left on your own, but rather safely guided through the series of poses. People often become ambitious in group classes in attempting to do the full version of a pose before their bodies are actually ready to take it to the max, especially Type A personalities! In a private yoga class, your instructor always keeps tabs on what is appropriate for your level, and makes adjustments accordingly.
Build a home practice
By practicing short yoga sequences throughout your day, you will see major improvement in each instructed class. A private instructor will customize a series of energizing or relaxing yoga sequences to do in the morning, during your workday, or in the evening.
