From ChillOutLA.com:
Yoga Your Way with Sari Stricke
July 10, 2008
There are few indulgences as rewarding and rejuvenating as a private yoga lesson at home. It saves you the aggravation of driving to the studio, parking, and then driving home (which, in some cases, can spoil the blissful state you achieved during class), and allows you to literally work out within your comfort zone. Instructor Sari Heifetz knows this, which is why she comes to you, offering private and semi-private yoga sessions to suit your schedule.
With over 12 years of experience, Sari takes a refreshingly practical approach to teaching yoga. Sure, sometimes we're in the mood for the "woo woo" spiritual vibe on offer at many LA studios, but we often prefer to focus on the straight-up physical benefits of the practice. Sari specializes in teaching beginners of all ages, although she can work with students of any level. She stresses the importance of reversing the effects of all the sitting that we do Ð in the car, at the desk, at the dinner table, in front of the TV Ð and explains what each pose does for each part of the body. Sari also provides breathing guidance throughout the session, and carefully breaks down some of the asana sequences that sometimes pass by in a blur of warrior poses and chaturangas when you're in a class full of yogis trying to out-downward-dog each other.
Perhaps most important, Sari is a delightful person who you'll be more than happy to welcome into your home for an hour or so. We chatted for a bit at the end of our session, enjoying the warm summer evening out on the patio before saying goodbye and going about our evening activities in a state of happy calm.

"SARI MADE ME LOVE YOGA"
"I am the least flexible dude in the entire world, not athletic, etc. I didn't think I would be into yoga, but Sari's teaching is so clear and down to earth that I got into it. She was able to tailor the class to my ability, and the biggest benefits I have gotten aren't even just physical, but also LESS STRESS, a more relaxed attitude and clearer thinking all week long."

"THE BEST YOGA I'VE EVER DONE!"
"Sari comes over to my apt every week for yoga and I look forward to it every time. She's smart and has a really calming presence. I love private instruction because I get the attention I wouldn't have in a group class. I've improved immensely in just a few months and unlike in classes I've taken in the past, I know I'm doing the poses correctly. I have neck issues and she's able to fit in a great workout and stretches that keep me feeling strong and healthy all week. She also fits in a great meditation at the end. If you're interested in taking private yoga regularly or you just want to take one or two classes to improve your poses Sari is your best bet. I'm really glad I found her!"

"I NOW GET YOGA"
"I'm 45 years old and have often admired friends who did Yoga. I admit that I did not have the courage to join a class to see what they all raved about fearing I would look foolish. I finally made took the plunge with Sari and IMMEDIATELY experienced the benefits of one on one instruction. I am now in my third month and would not have stuck with it if I did not have one on one instruction. I plan to eventually take classes, but until then Sari is the bomb!"

"SIMPLY THE BEST USE OF MY TIME AND MONEY!"
Not only do I get to stay home after a long day's work, but I get to tone my body and relax my mind all at once! I find that I look forward to the days I schedule with Sari, and I never liked to exercise before! I recommend this to anyone and everyone, especially those who have never tried yoga before. Sari is just great!

"DO NOT FEAR YOGA"
"If you haven't tried Yoga yet, she's the PERFECT first teacher. Do not fear Yoga; it can only help you. And I'm proof.

"CONVERTED"
Sari Yoga provides the best way to enter into the world of practicing yoga whether it be to become a regular, to slowly and fearlessly introduce yoga into your life, or to brush up on old skills, while putting a new twist to your practice. Sari's technique caters to all levels allowing for group classes to include attendees who have never done yoga to those who have mastered poses. Being new to yoga, but having taken a few group classes at local yoga studios that are always crowded, stuffy and a bit intimidating, I found that Sari's small group class, held at my home, was not only professional, informative, and challenging, but also comfortable, easy to follow and particularly unique. Sari inspires you to explore unchartered territory while remaining sensitive to your limitations, encouraging you to safely break down self imposed barriers to advancing your practice. She is kind, attentive, patient and motivating- and a true example of all she teaches you to strive for!

"TOTALLY WORTH IT!"
It's so true: the cost of the mini-group session we had totally outweighed the costs of having to sit through traffic and waste the time to get there and get home. Plus, we got so much individual attention this way! I really learned a lot about what i was doing wrong, how to avoid injury, and how to best use yoga to help strengthen my core--which i need because I threw out my back a while ago. The session was AWESOME and I totally recommend Sari to anyone who has the opportunity to learn from her. She's extremely passionate about yoga and I feel like I got, not only a workout, but also an education. Thank you, Sari! Keep up the great work!
